Share the server address

On NodeArc, players join with the custom address selected at creation, such as myworld.nodearc.net. In Minecraft Java Edition, they open Multiplayer, choose Add Server and paste that address into Server Address. They do not need panel access to join.

Send the address as plain text so friends can copy it. Avoid sending passwords, panel links or account credentials. A player only needs the Minecraft address unless you deliberately give them administrative access.

Match the Minecraft version

The player client must use a version supported by the server. If the server runs 1.21.1 and a friend uses an incompatible version, Minecraft normally explains that the client is outdated or incompatible. Confirm the running version in the panel before asking everyone to update.

Match mods and mod loaders

For Paper or Purpur servers, players usually only need a normal compatible Minecraft client. For a Fabric server, every client-side required mod must match the server's loader, Minecraft version and mod version. Send friends the exact mod list rather than asking them to guess.

Check whitelist and permissions

If a whitelist is enabled, add each player's exact Minecraft username from the panel console or your server management tools. A whitelist rejection is not a networking problem. Keep operator permissions limited and only give them to people you trust.

What happens when the server is sleeping?

Free Beta servers can stop automatically when no one is playing. A real join attempt starts a sleeping server and may briefly show the NodeArc waiting screen while it boots. Server-list pings do not wake it, so tell friends to try joining rather than relying only on the multiplayer list icon.

If one friend cannot join

  1. Check that the server is started and no longer shows startup errors.
  2. Confirm the custom address and Minecraft edition: NodeArc servers are for Java Edition.
  3. Match the Minecraft version and, for Fabric, the complete mod list.
  4. Check the whitelist and the spelling of the username.
  5. Read the relevant console message before changing settings.

Need to create the server first?
